Powered by our innovative 360 Spatial Sound Mapping technology, the BRAVIA Theatre Trio creates phantom speakers all around you. It has been meticulously fine-tuned by the engineers at Sony Pictures Entertainment in our mastering theatre to mirror a real-life soundstage, complete with direct movie sound, as well as the atmospheric acoustics(1). With studio-crafted sound faithfully tuned to carry the emotion and detail intended by the filmmakers themselves, the BRAVIA Theatre Trio will have you feeling like you're in your own personal movie theatre.

There's no need to remodel your home on your quest for cinematic immersion, as our Sound Field Optimisation technology automatically analyses your space and uses advanced signal processing to create a cinema-style audio layout. A USB Type-C microphone is included for advanced optimisation, and you can use our BRAVIA Connect app to calibrate the sound for exactly where you are seated(3)(4)(5)(6)(7).

This exceptional acoustic performance is achieved using dedicated woofers and tweeters for expansive sound with precise sound positioning. A full-range centre speaker delivers clear dialogue, up-firing speakers provide immersive overhead audio, side speakers fill your space from wall-to-wall, and built-in woofers and passive radiators generate deep bass. Our unique X-Balanced Speaker Unit ensures less distortion and greater clarity, and everything is built using premium materials to ensure a purer, more natural sound experience.

If you want to expand your home entertainment system even further, optional rear speakers and up to two subwoofers can be added.

At its heart is our innovative 360 Spatial Sound Mapping technology — the ultimate in home surround. 360 Spatial Sound Mapping creates phantom speakers around your room, using just the nine physical speakers to reflect sound off your ceiling and walls. The phantom speakers are positioned to mirror a cinema layout, creating a spacious surround field that captures the scale and immersion of the big screen, recreating everything from direct in-film sound to the atmospheric acoustics of the movie theatre itself.

In fact, the BRAVIA Theatre Trio has been built on the acoustics of real mix stages for professional movie studios, so you can transform your space with cinema-quality audio, and hear stories exactly how they were meant to be heard in your own personal movie theatre. 360 Spatial Sound Mapping enables much wider coverage than conventional virtual surround sound systems, so everyone can enjoy the same elite level of immersion, wherever they are in the room, whatever your screen size.

Our Voice Zoom 3 technology uses AI machine learning to recognise human voices and amplify or reduce their volume for enhanced clarity(1). This makes every plot twist and commentary crystal-clear, with no muffled lines. You can adjust voice volume according to what you're watching or your personal preferences.

Through seamless integration, a BRAVIA TV and the BRAVIA Theatre Trio can be controlled from a single remote(2). Your sound settings will automatically appear on the TV's Quick Settings menu, so you can quickly and easily control your Sound Field, volume, and more.

Designed to complement each other, the soundbar and front left and right speakers complete the overall sophisticated look.

Acoustic Design

Beyond its impressive signal processing, the BRAVIA Theatre Trio's physical speakers deliver an exceptional acoustic performance.

The front left and right speakers use a two-way design with a woofer and tweeter, delivering deep lows, crisp highs, and truly anchoring your home with powerful, balanced sound.

Up-firing speakers reflect sound off the ceiling for immersive overhead audio, whilst our 360 Spatial Sound Mapping creates phantom ceiling speakers for even more atmosphere.

The centre bar features a new two-way speaker that includes two woofers and a tweeter at its centre. With larger drivers engineered for greater clarity and presence, dialogue stands out, while rich sound fills your space with cinematic impact.

Our unique X-Balanced Speaker Unit design specifically maximises the diaphragm area for punchy bass, and it also reduces driver excursion and maintains sound pressure to ensure less distortion.

Even the materials themselves are engineered for purer sound. An aluminium ring and copper cap are coupled with the lightweight driver cone to suppress harmonic distortion. Combined with the powerful magnet, you'll enjoy cleaner, natural-feeling sound across all frequencies.

UX

The BRAVIA Theatre Trio makes surround sound simple, offering an out-of-box experience for maximum enjoyment, with minimum effort.

Stereo content is transformed into rich surround sound, as our innovative upmixer uses an expert algorithm to extract and redistribute individual audio objects all around you. While upmixing, AI Sound Separation processing detects human voices and makes them sound clearer, so you can feel every emotion in every lyric.

When you have optional rear speakers connected, Multi Stereo enhances your listening experience by playing the same sound from the front (L/R/Centre) and rear speakers. Ideal for entertaining, you and your guests will feel the perfectly synchronised sound reverberate with greater intensity.

Built-in support for Spotify Connect and Apple AirPlay means you can stream all your favourite tracks straight to the speakers.

Bluetooth makes it easy to enjoy music, podcasts, and more, directly from your smartphone, tablet, or laptop.

Sustainability & Accessibility

Not only is the BRAVIA Theatre Trio designed to deliver a cinematic sound experience, it forms part of our Road To Zero initiative to reduce environmental impact throughout the lifecycle of our products.

Approximately 87% of the fabric used in the soundbar and side speakers is made from recycled cloth materials. Approximately 77% of the packaging is made from recycled paper and paper materials(1).

To help people, tactile dots on the soundbar will direct those with low vision to the QR code for the BRAVIA Connect app, which offers screen reader support - no need to memorise the layout of buttons or items on the screen. Tactile dots on the back panel also highlight the eARC HDMI terminal for connecting to your TV.
