On the A90K, we’ve paired our OLED panel with our XR OLED Contrast Pro technology to boost colour and contrast even further. Featuring our widest colour palette yet, you’ll have access to over a billion colours on the A90K. In fact, some of these colours are only available on a Sony TV. Our XR Triluminos Pro™ algorithm can detect colour from saturation, hue, and brightness, reproducing each shade with the natural, subtle differences only found in nature and the real-world. You’ll notice this is especially prevalent with the stunning greens and reds.

Watching high-speed action and sports is better on the A90K! Fast-paced scenes are never blurred or distorted, with our XR OLED Motion analysing the motion and inserting extra frames to ensure the action stays smooth, bright, and clear. 

On conventional TVs, brightness stays the same regardless of light in a room, often resulting in pictures that are too dark or bright. The A90K includes a light sensor that optimises the picture brightness based on the conditions in your room. When it is light, the brightness will be boosted; when it is dark, the brightness is reduced. This means you always get the perfect view.

The power behind this TV is our revolutionary processor, which understands how humans see and hear and can reproduce content in a way that truly feels real. We call it the Cognitive Processor XR™.

Sound Quality

On the A90K, the screen is the speaker. Two actuators invisibly vibrate to create acoustics that move with the picture, delivering realistic high frequency sound, clear and natural dialogue, whilst a centre subwoofer boosts bass. Combined, you get immersive 2.1 channel sound in your living space! We call this technology Acoustic Surface Audio+™.

Furthermore, all your entertainment will be upscaled to 3D surround sound – without the need for additional in-ceiling or up-firing speakers! Our XR Surround technology creates sound from the sides and vertically using just the TV speakers. With audio coming from around all around you, it’s like being at the theatre – or inside the game! With Dolby Atmos® also included – a surround sound technology you’d usually find at the cinema – the A90K really does let you bring the cinematic experience home.

Want to take your audio experience even further? When paired with a compatible Sony soundbar, the soundbar will reinforce the centre speaker for even clearer and fuller vocals – this is called Acoustic Centre Sync. When paired with compatible headphones and a wireless transmitter, you can experience 360 Spatial Sound. This is a unique audio mapping technology that places every instrument or note in the space around you, making you feel like you’ve been transported straight into the recording studio.

You’ll never miss a plot twist with Voice Zoom™ 2. Even if speech is difficult to hear, this feature will detect the voice, analyse it, and enhance its clarity in real-time. Ultimately, this allows you to hear dialogue clearly without turning up the volume – particularly useful if friends or family are around!

No matter where you're sitting, the A90K uses Acoustic Auto Calibration to detect your position and optimise the sound so you can enjoy the same sound quality as if you were sitting right in front of the TV!

The sound is also automatically optimised for your environment. For example, you may have sound-absorbing curtains in your room, or a table that could disturb the passage of sound. Our Ambient Optimisation technology will detect these objects and reproduce sound that is optimised for your room, ensuring you can enjoy the full audio experience that the A90K has to offer.

The premium Metal Flush Surface in our One Slate design is thoughtfully created for truly immersive viewing; with such a narrow bezel, all your focus will be on what’s important - the picture. The Aluminium Centre Plate stand perfectly matches the TV and is designed to suit any interior.

What’s more, this is a 2-way TV stand, so it’s versatile! Choose the standard setting to place full focus on the picture or use the raised soundbar setting to slide your sound system neatly underneath the TV. As the stand is adjustable, you can comfortably use the A90K as a gaming display on your desktop, complete with some extra height.

You can even turn your TV into a design statement using the Living Décor feature. Use this to showcase screen artwork, personal photos, screensaver themes, and clock functions.

We've completely redesigned our remote for effortless control of your TV - day or night - with simplified buttons and a backlight so you can see everything clearly, even in the dark. A premium, compact design in aluminium, this remote has a beautifully refined look and is comfortable to hold too. We’ve made sure the remote is easy to wipe and keep clean using lower buttons and a special polyurethane coating, and all buttons are specially coated with antibacterial material for extra reassurance.

With up to a massive 120 frames per second (4k/120fps) for near instant on-screen action, you can take on any shooting, sports, or high-performance challenge!

To avoid stuttering delays and screen tearing, a Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) in HDMI 2.1 is featured. This means the TV dynamically adjusts the display refresh rate to match the variable frame rates of the gaming device for smoother gameplay.

Even in high contrast scenes, you’ll be able to see the crucial details in the darkest and brightest parts of the screen, thanks to our Auto HDR Tone Mapping technology. If you have a PS5™, the High Dynamic Range (HDR) settings will be automatically optimised for your specific BRAVIA XR™ TV model during the initial console set-up.

You won’t ever need to worry about adjusting your settings as you switch between different types of entertainment either. With Auto Genre Picture Mode, Sony BRAVIA XR™ TVs automatically enter Game Mode to minimise input lag and make the action more responsive. When watching movies, the A90K will automatically switch back to Standard Mode to focus on picture processing.
